With gas prices continuing to increase at the pumps it is not surprising that University of Evansville Professor Soumendra De is forecasting further increases at the pumps. Higher demand, not only in the U.S. but around the world, and the decline of the U.S. Dollar and OPEC’s decision not to increase production has driven prices higher. Professor Soumendra De speculates that only a slowdown in the economy could help to reduce gas prices.
